A few questions, Nathan, IAN?

can you hunt hogs with pistols that have laser sights on them?  specificly on private land but would like to know the public rule as well?

Can you hunt hogs on a feeder where a lantern has been affixed to see at night?

Thanks,
Chris

F.A.C 68A-12.002(7)(C)
No person shall : (c) Take or attempt to take any game with the aid of live decoys, recorded game calls or sounds, set guns, artificial light, net, trap, snare, drug, or poison.

On private land there is no season or bag limit on hogs, but the general methods of harvest still apply. You also don't need a license on private land. The only way light may be used is with a gun and light permit.

Thanks Nathan, that's what i was looking for.  Missed it in the regs.  So is that a NO on the laser sight on the firearm?

I also thought trapping of hogs was legal?  Is this just referring to WMA that you cant trap on?

Laser sights I'm sure are legal. The lantern thing is a neat thought, but I think you gotta get in touch with the Man before you do something like that.
